A family affair
Today, Strähl Käse is managed by Peter Strähl as CEO. With Astrid Holenstein, another member from the third generation of the family is on the Executive Board.
They took over from the second generation. Like his father Paul, Hans-Peter Strähl was a master cheesemaker with a passion for outstanding quality. Doris Holenstein-Strähl, the founder’s daughter, successfully cultivated customer relationships over decades.
Over the years, Strähl Käse has grown organically to the company we are today. We had the foresight to continuously invest in assets that were ahead of their time. Nevertheless, the family was always aware that it is not machines that make a company successful – but instead dedicated, loyal people. The family-run company maintains flat management structures that involve employees in processes and give them a high degree of responsibility. This is why our entire team is right behind the Strähl brand with their pride and passion.
